The English international has been a hit since moving to the Stadio Olimpico, but there were major concerns following his substitution midweek against Inter.

At the start of the season, Roma paid an estimated €40 million to Chelsea to bring in Tammy Abraham as a replacement for the outgoing Edin Dzeko.

It's safe to say that the Giallorossi have gotten a pretty solid return on their investment so far. The English international has netted ten goals in Serie A, and 17 overall in 32 appearances across all comps for Roma, but wasn't able to have the impact he had hoped as Roma took on Jose Mourinho's former side, Inter, in the Coppa Italia on Tuesday evening.

Not only did Roma lose 2-0, but Abraham was subbed off late on in the match, with Felix Afena-Gyan being brought on to replace the 24-year-old English international.

Given his influence for Mourino's team this season, fears quickly arose among Giallorossi fans that he could be out for the long haul, but now, reports indicate that it may not be as serious.

It's been ruled that he has some kind of muscular issue, but may be fit in time to feature for Roma as they face Sassuolo at the weekend. The Neroverdi may be sitting in 12th, with just one win from their last five Serie A games, but any calcio follower knows that Sassuolo have built their reputation on causing trouble for Italy's biggest sides, so aren't a team to be taken too lightly.

Abraham will have to be monitored throughout the week, but fans will obviously be hoping he'll be back fighting fit in time for this weekend's fixture.
