UEFA Champions League returns tonight. Valencia will take on PSG in an intriguing battle. It will be very interesting to see who gets the better of the other.
Millions of eyes will get glued to their television screens tonight because it is the return of the Champions League. The competition enters its knockout phase and there is a lot at stake for the 16 remaining clubs in the competition. Valencia will lock horns with PSG at the Estadio de Mestalla, here is a look at how the two clubs may approach this game.

Tactics:

Valencia are most likely to play a 4-2-3-1 formation. Valencia have not been in a rich vein of form, they have managed to score 54 goals from 34 games this season. They are excessively dependent on a certain someone called Roberto Soldado to get them goals and there is every possibility in the world that PSG are well aware of this fact. Soldado has found the back of the net on 17 occasions this season, this is quite impressive for a striker. Ever Banega is expected to play just behind Soldado, the two players’ linkup really well.

PSG on the other hand may play a 4-3-3 formation. PSG lead the French league and have an array of stars. David Beckham is the latest to join the list, the player will travel with the French side but has been excluded from the squad for tonight’s game.

Carlo Ancelotti is expected to keep the midfield nice and tight. Verratti and Matuidi have to work their socks off tonight. They would be responsible for keeping the midfield compact. Zlatan Ibrahimovic will spearhead the attack for PSG, his mere presence on the pitch is enough to intimidate defenders.

PSG are the favorites to progress to the next round but Valencia will certainly try their best to upset the applecart.
