The English side has reportedly given up on the French footballer, which will lead to letting him go once his contract comes to an end.

Paul Pogba's term at Old Trafford will come to an end next summer along with his contract, and Manchester United are seemingly not ready to wait to search for his replacement.

Considering that current coach Ralf Rangnick will not continue as the man in the dugout next season but will remain working for the club as a consultant, he has already come up with a couple of suggestions to replace Pogba, and the team have already selected a player that will fill the player's void once he departs.

The player in question is none other than Napoli's Fabian Ruiz, who has taken the pole position to become Manchester United's new player next summer. The Red Devils had considered Declan Rice as their first option, but West Ham's demands exceed the amount Manchester United want to pay for a midfielder. Hence, Ruiz has been named as the cheaper and better option to fill Pogba's spot.

The 25-year-old player has been linked to Liverpool and Arsenal in the recent past, but according to the Daily Mail, the Spanish footballer will become the Red Devils' top priority to reinforce their midfield next summer.

Ruiz has played over 150 games for Napoli in the past four seasons for Napoli across all competitions, scoring 20 goals for the Partenopei. His contract expires after the 2022-23 season, which means that next summer will give Napoli a last chance to cash in on the player's exit.
