There will only be four games left for each team after Sunday's games, and those spots to play in the World Cup are getting harder to obtain. Keep track of all games with this guide.

The FIFA World Cup Qualifiers continue in the CONCACAF region, and teams from this side of the globe will deal with unexpected scenarios ahead of what could be decisive for all of those involved in the competition.

Thursday's games left some interesting results for the eight teams fighting for the three and a half spots to play in Qatar next winter, clearly dividing the competition in two factions. The first one includes five teams, which seem to have a legitimate chance of playing in the quadrennial tournament. The remaining three will seemingly have to wait three more years to have a shot at qualifying for the 2026 edition.

Before we get to analyze all games, here are the standings in the CONCACAF WCQ after nine matches for all teams. This table will show you exactly what we meant when we mentioned five teams that could make it to the World Cup.

Now, let's have a look at all the games set to be played on Sunday in chronological order.

Canada vs USA - The Canucks have cemented themselves as the most consistent team in the region during the qualifiers, and they will try to prove so when they host the USMNT this Sunday. John Herdman's men and Gregg Berhalter's team are separated by only one point, which means that the team that wins this game could have a big chance to finish the Qualifiers as group winners. To make matters even more interesting, whichever team wins this game could celebrate their World Cup ticket if Jamaica lose their corresponding match against Panama.

Mexico vs Costa Rica - The Mexican side came from behind to beat Jamaica on Thursday, which kept them in the race to win the group and cleared the air surrounding coach Tata Martino. Now, El Tri will welcome Costa Rica forced to obtain a win and reap the benefits of a possible draw between Canada and the Yanks. Incidentally, a win for Mexico could deliver a killer blow to Costa Rica's chances of earning a spot in the World Cup, mainly because three of their remaining four games in the Qualifiers would be against teams that are ranked higher than Los Ticos.

Panama vs Jamaica - Los Canaleros return to Rommel Fernández Stadium trying to lick the wounds of their match against Costa Rica, which they came inches close to tying in the final seconds. The team coached by Thomas Christiansen could eliminate the Reggae Boyz from the race to bag the playoff spot, while they would also keep their hopes alive for one of the three direct tickets to the World Cup. As for Jamaica, their loss against Mexico seems to have sealed their fate, and at this point, winning at least four of their remaining five games seems like the only way for them to make it to Qatar by the end of the year.

Honduras vs El Salvador - These teams seem to have seen their World Cup hopes fade away, but the heated rivalry between these sides will force them to leave everything on the pitch. Honduras are still looking for their first win of the tournament, while El Salvador could still make it to the playoffs, but they need to win all of their remaining matches for that to happen. Either way, their need to beat the opposition this time around could result in an entertaining match to witness this Sunday evening.
