Player agent Mino Raiola has refused to delegate his duties to a third party even if Borussia Dortmund urged the player to make up his mind about his future.

Borussia Dortmund and Erling Haaland wanted to get together and decide whether the footballer will remain with the club beyond this summer of if he wanted to continue his career elsewhere, but they have hit a major roadblock to do just that in the ongoing transfer window.

While Haaland was never keen on leaving the Black and Yellow during the winter, he had agreed to meet with the club, his agent, and his father to talk about his future. Nevertheless, all deals have been put on hold due to Mino Raiola's unavailability.

The Italian agent has undergone a couple of surgeries "that required the use of anesthesia", according to his PR team. While the Italian agent seems to be in good health after being sent home to recover, he has refused to take any calls or to have any meetings regarding Haaland's future. Hence, neither the club nor the player will be able to meet and talk about the player's next move.

Haaland is expected to leave Borussia Dortmund next summer, since there is a verbal agreement between the club and Raiola to negotiate for the 21-year-old's services with the team that comes up with a sum between €75M and €100M (around $83M and $111M). Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG, and Manchester City have been linked heavily to the footballer's future, while other clubs such as Manchester United have ended their pursuit of the player publicly.

Dortmund execs, namely Hans-Joachim Watzke, have urged Haaland to make a decision about his future so the team has enough time to find and sign his replacement if he chose to leave next summer. Unfortunately for all parties involved, this situation will not get sorted out until Raiola steps back into the public eye and whispers in his client's ear, which has also put any attempt to contact him by any team on hold.
