The French international will be hoping to revive his flagging career by making a switch to Spain.

After months of speculation, and struggling to secure regular first-team football at Manchester United, Anthony Martial has now found a new home. The French attacker was reportedly being tracked closely by Juventus, but the Bianconeri were scared off by the €12 million Manchester United were demanding, with at least €6 million of that going towards the player's salary.

However, another team have stepped in to take advantage, and that team is none other than Sevilla. Los Hispalenses are the most decorated side in the Europa League, having won European club football's secondary competition an unprecedented six times.

Sevilla clearly had no issues with negotiating with Manchester United. While they will reportedly pay €6 million of his salary for the next six months, they were able to convince the Red Devils to forego a loan fee and have Martial slash his wages for the remainder of his time in Spain.

As of now, the deal isn't a loan with an option to buy, but depending on how things pan out, Sevilla could opt to extend the player's loan for another season.

From Martial's perspective, getting regular playing time will be vital, especially with Les Bleus set to try to defend their World Cup crown later this year. The 26-year-old failed to make France's squad that won the 2018 World Cup, and will be hoping to force his way back into contention with some strong showings at Sevilla.
