The seventieth season of Germany’s annual football cup tournament is into its third round. Eight matches will take place across the country with giants Bayern Munich among the clubs looking to dethrone champions Borussia Dortmund who will be away to Hannover 96.

Struggling Schalke sacked Huub Stevens last week and now have Jens Keller in place as coach. The latter will be happy to see his new club go past Mainz 05 on Tuesday. Elsewhere, Wolfsburg will try their luck to upset Bayer Leverkusen almost ten days after defeating Borussia Dortmund 3-2 in the German Bundesliga. How big is the space for upsets in the Last 16 of the DFB Pokal?
