The Primeira Liga returns this weekend and promises a lot of excitement with the top of the table presenting an interesting outlook.

This season's Primeira Liga is gradually taking shape and will look to live up to the hype when action returns across the 10 different league centres this weekend. All eyes will particularly be on the games featuring FC Porto, Sporting CP, and Benfica as the trio break away in what looks like a three-way battle for the league title.

Porto will travel to Vizela on Sunday with the hope of maintaining their status as league leaders. The Dragons approach the game on the back of a 1-0 win over Braga in their previous outing. Title rivals Sporting will gear up on Saturday and Gil Vicente as they look to keep the pressure on the league leaders. The Green and Whites defeated Boavista 2-0 at home to extend their unbeaten run in the competition to 14.

Meanwhile, Benfica will host Maritimo as they aim to catch up with both Sporting and Benfica. The Eagles secured an emphatic 4-1 win over Famalicao in their last outing and will be eager to make it two wins on the bounce.
