Up to five players could be left out of the squad that will face the Yellow Submarine this Sunday.

Real Madrid's top-spot defense has gotten a bit more complicated after the recent developments that have emerged in the last couple of days.

Earlier today, the Spanish giants issued a medical report that informed that four players and one of Carlo Ancelotti's assistants were diagnosed with COVID-19, which will effectively make them unavailable for Sunday's match against Cádiz.

"Real Madrid C. F. informs that our players Marco Asensio, Gareth Bale, Andriy Lunin and Rodrygo, and our head assistant coach Davide Ancelotti have tested positive for COVID-19," the press release states.

This report adds to a previous one issued by the club, where Marcelo and Luka Modric were diagnosed with the viral disease. Hence, Carlo Ancelotti will have to prepare this game without six players and without the help of his son, the team's head assistant.

Real Madrid will try to increase their lead as leaders in the Spanish top-flight, which has seen them take an eight-point lead over Sevilla, their nearest competitor in the title race.
