The French Ligue 1 returns this weekend with a number of juicy fixtures on the roster for fans.

This season's Ligue 1 is gradually taking shape and will look to live up to the hype when action returns across the 10 different league centers this weekend. All eyes will particularly be on Paris Saint-Germain when they welcome AS Monaco to the Parc des Princes as they look to stretch their lead atop the chart. The Parisians have hardly put a foot wrong in this campaign, losing just one game and drawing three of the 17 matches they have played so far. They lead title rivals Rennes by 11 points and are 16 points ahead of the Monaco side they will face.

Meanwhile, the league's second-placed side will welcome Nice to the Roazhon Park with Lille and Lyon also set to lock-horns on Sunday in a mid-table clash. Marseille, who suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Brest last weekend, travel to Strasbourg in search of their ninth win of the season.
