The last two games of the year in the Mexican top-flight will see either León or Los Rojinegros lifting the title. Follow the first leg with our guide.

The first tournament of the 2021-22 season in Mexico will live one final clash that will begin tonight. The game between León and Atlas promises to be as intense as the season of each of these teams has been, but this time with the title to show for when the games come to an end.

León will host this game after a long road to the title clash, which included aggregate wins against Puebla (3-2) and Tigres UANL (3-3). Ariel Holan's men have been quite impressive at home, and that will surely be one of the main reasons to consider them as title contenders.

Los Esmeraldas will rely heavily on Angel Mena's performance for this game, mainly since the footballer has been the force behind their wins in the postseason. Mena has scored four goals in four games, and if he can team up with Jean Meneses and Víctor Dávila, then they will have quite a legitimate chance to take an advantage to the return leg.

On the other side, Atlas were the second best team in the regular season behind América, but now they seem to be ready to win their first title in the 21st Century and the first one since 1951. Los Rojinegros have been quite impressive when playing away from home in the playoffs, where they have conceded no goals in two games. Unfortunately for them, their position in the regular season will not work in their favor for the final, which means that they will have to go all out to win the game if they want to get to the title clash in a much more comfortable situation.

Just like it has been for Atlas during the entire season, their fortunes will be determined by two men: goalkeeper Camilo Vargas and striker Julio Furch. The South American shot-stopper has been instrumental for Atlas all season long, and Furch's goals have gotten Los Rojinegros through in each of the playoff ties, which makes us hint that if they go on the pitch in a proper form, then Atlas will most likely have a good result in this tie.

León has become used to playing title matches, with the most recent one of them coming in 2020. Atlas on the other hand will play their first final in over 22 years. Which one of these teams get an advantage for this crucial tie?
