Arsene Wenger takes a mix of experience and youth to Greece with the idea of resting some key figures. Can Arsenal finally defeat Olympiakos at the Karaiskakis Stadium?

Arsenal fell to a brilliant Swansea City side at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, sending Arsenal fans into utter disbelief. A string of inconsistent performances have led Gunners fans to once again question the club directors, but Arsene Wenger continues to believe in his squad.

Heading to Greece for their final Group Stage match against Olympiakos, Arsenal will be looking to get a good performance out of those who are traveling. With a number of players getting their first chance in the Champions League, Arsene Wenger will get a chance to see what his young players can offer to his squad in the future. What a better environment to get your debut than at the Karaiskakis Stadium.

The Greek side finds themselves qualified for the Europa League, so they essentially have nothing to play for other than pride.

Although they can't move through to the next round and will find themselves relegated to the Europa League, Leonardo Jardim's side will want to protect their home ground. Jardim may also choose to rest some of his key figures considering they will be traveling to Athens to take on Panathinaikos on the weekend.

Prediction

Looking at Arsenal's squad chosen for this match, one would imagine that their would be a number of players looking to prove a point in Tuesdays match. Whether that holds true or not, we will find out, but Arsene Wenger's side really needs a confidence boost.

Whether that confidence boost comes in the way of a big win away to Olympiakos or from an internal meeting, something needs to be done before the Gunners slip through the cracks.

Olympiakos has a big match ahead of themselves on the weekend, so they may also opt to rest some players. Arsenal will know what to expect from the Greek side and their fans. An electric and very hostile environment.

With such a mix of players with some very young players possibly featuring for the first time, the environment in Greece may prove to much for the Arsenal players. Will Arsenal's younger players show that fighting spirit that the first team has lacked and potentially get a good result in Greece?
