Both Inter Milan and Napoli will be eager to bounce back to winning ways when they lock horns at the Guiseppe Meaza on Sunday.

Inter Milan will host Napoli at the Estadio Giuseppe Meazza on Sunday, following a goalless draw with AC Milan prior to the international break. The significance of a favorable result in the upcoming encounter cannot be overstated as the reigning champions must secure the maximum three points if they are to catch up to the two frontrunners of the league campaign. Both of those teams have a seven-point lead over the Nerazzurri going into this weekend's round of games. A win over the Partenopei should be enough to reduce the point deficit to just four following their city arch-rivals' disappointing 4-3 defeat to Fiorentina on Saturday.

Indeed, Simone Inzaghi's team should fancy their odds in the build-up to the upcoming encounter as they have gone unbeaten at home and abroad since losing to Lazio in September.  Only the stalemate in the Derby d'Italia prevented them from making it five wins in a row. The Scudetto holders are also second in their Champions League group, behind Real Madrid, and in a great position to advance if they continue to perform well in the coming weeks.

However, it's worth noting that Inzaghi's worst losing percentage in Serie A came against Napoli, with the Partenopei defeating him seven times out of ten when in charge of Lazio. They come into Sunday's encounter on the back of a disappointing 1-1 with Hellas Verona despite having seen two of their opponent's players being sent off. A win against Inter Milan will see them extend their unbeaten run in Serie A this season to 11 and the point deficit between them and the Nerazzurri to 10.

So far the Naples club remain undefeated in 21 top-flight games, with Juventus being the last club to have managed a win against them back in April. Their unwavering form has seen them close in on a club record of 26 goals established four years ago, but they now face a tough task to add to their charge to dethrone Inter as champions next spring.
