The final stage of the Mexican top-flight begins this Saturday with these one-leg ties. Mark these games in your agenda and get ready for some interesting clashes.

After 17 games for each one of the teams in the Mexican top-flight, we get to the final round where we will finally know the name of the champion. There are some teams that have to be considered as favorites for the title, but before we know their path to the final match, we need to know the identities of those teams that will face the top seeded sides, and we will find out those names after the end of the weekend.

Eight teams will battle for the four remaining spots in the Mexican liguilla, and all games taking place during the next couple of days promise to bring something different to the table. We will have title contenders and "black horses" in the race for the final spots, and with only one game to sort things out, all bets should be off by the time each match begins.

The rules to determine the winner of each time are easy: the team that wins will go through to the next round. In the event of a draw after 90 minutes, the winner will be determined by a penalty shootout without extra time being played.

Without further ado, here are the fixtures that will take place this weekend in chronological order. Between each bracket you will find each team's seeding for this round.

Santos (5) vs San Luis (12) - Saturday, November 20 at 20:00 ET

Los Laguneros made it to this round with a string of good results that came close to earning them a spot in the top four teams, but that draw against Toluca on Matchday 14 condemned them to a spot in the Wild Card Round. Now, the Torreón-based side will face a familiar foe in Atlético San Luis, a team that held them to a goalless draw in the final game of the regular season, and who will try to shock them out of the competition despite only winning four games during the regular season. If these teams make it to the next round, they already know who their rivals would be; Santos would go on to face Tigres UANL, while San Luis would earn the right to face América, the top-seeded team in the tournament.

Puebla (7) vs Guadalajara (10) - Saturday, November 20 at 22:00 ET

Los Camoteros always gave fans in Liga MX something to look up to, and this time, Nicolás Larcamón's team will try to beat one of the most popular clubs in the league to a spot in the playoffs. Chivas had to change their coach to get to this stage, and even if they only won five matches and scored thirteen goals throughout the season, their recent performances hint that they could shock La Franja in front of their supporters. Their game during the regular season ended in a two-nil win for Chivas during the earlier weeks of the season, which gives their fans hope for success in this knockout stage.

Toluca (6) vs Pumas UNAM (11) - Sunday, November 21 at 18:00 ET

Los Diablos really need to get back in gear if they want to make it to the liguilla with hopes for success. Hernán Cristante's team has not been able to win any of their last eight matches, and if they want to make it to the final round, they will need to find a way to end that slump. Their rivals on Sunday will be Pumas, a team that managed to win four out of their last six games to make the Wild Card Round, including a thrilling 4-3 win over defending champions Cruz Azul on the final day of the regular season. Judging by what happened in recent weeks, we should say that Pumas are the favorite to take the win, but it will be up to Toluca to defend their ground and prove us wrong.

Cruz Azul (8) vs Monterrey (9) - Sunday, November 21 at 20:15 ET

Cruz Azul and Monterrey will nab the final ticket to the playoffs in what could be categorized as the most even game of the Wild Card Round. Both teams have talented squads, and to top it all, both of their coaches have won Liga MX titles. Cruz Azul will have to find a way to exorcize their demons once again after dropping the ball against Pumas on Matchday 17, while Monterrey will try to repeat their CONCACAF Champions League win over La Máquina, a game that ended with a 4-1 score and that represents the last clash between these teams. Unfortunately, this game will be played behind closed doors after Cruz Azul were slapped with a one-match ban due to the irresponsible behavior of their fans, who chanted homophobic slurs against their rivals in La Máquina's last home game of the season.
