After getting their first victory away in the UEFA Champions League, Celtic will be motivated ahead of their match with Barcelona. Defensive issues for the hosts will have the Scottish Champions hopeful of an upset at the Nou Camp.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon believes that after his side's 2-3 victory over Spartak Moscow in their last match, the Bhoys will be prepared for their big time clash with Barcelona.

"The performance in Moscow was probably even beyond my expectations," Lennon said.

"We've got a lot of young players and they played very well that night. Tactically, and in terms of the bravery and spirit they showed, they were excellent and that has given us a platform to go to Barcelona."

Obviously playing away to Spartak Moscow and Barcelona are two completely different battles, but Celtic could prove difficult to handle on the counter attack.

Their ability to break with three or four players proved to be a problem for Spartak, and against a depleted Barcelona back four, things could get interesting Tuesday night in Barcelona.

As for the Blaugrana, Tito Vilanova has an absolute headache in regards to his squad.

Sergio Busquet's will sit out the first of his two match ban after getting sent off against Benfica. With his departure, Barcelona will get the chance to welcome back Xavi who featured this past weekend.

Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol will also be missing from Barcelona's defensive line, while Dani Alves is still not fit after picking up a hamstring injury.

All signs point to Javier Mascherano and Alex Song filling in the center back role as they have done in the past, with Martin Montoya filling in for Dani Alves on the right side.

The last time these two clubs met was back in 2004 as Celtic defeated Barcelona 1-0 in a match that had three red cards. At this point, Barcelona can't afford another match like that considering all the players they have out due to injury.

Neil Lennon's side will have to not only be perfect on Tuesday night, but they will also need to make sure they aren't making silly challenges. Barcelona has more than enough talent on the ball to be able to make the Scottish side pay for a silly or needless tackle.

While that is easier said than done, Tito Vilanova will know that a win tomorrow night could really put Barcelona in the drivers seat in their group. Taking their opponents lightly could certainly hurt them as Celtic realistically have nothing to lose.

Barcelona will get a lot of time on the ball as Celtic will most likely be content with sitting back and letting them play. Messi and company will have to be very patient against a Celtic side that is very good from a tactical standpoint.

Frustrating the Spanish giants will be Celtic's main priority while their second will be to somehow counter attack with enough men to cause problems for Victor Valdes. As he has proven in the past, he is not always the most confident in between the sticks, so Neil Lennon will be sure to warn his side to shot whenever they get a chance.

An early goal for Barcelona could really make for an extremely long night for Celtic, so weathering the storm in the first 15-20 minutes will be fundamental. If they can hold on for at least half of the first 45 minutes, they could find themselves with a few chances on the counter-attack.
