The game against Dynamo Kyiv proved to be quite 'expensive' for Los Culés ahead of a busy schedule this month.

Just when thing seemed to get back on track for Barcelona after their midweek win in the UEFA Champions League, the team has been hit hard by another injury plague.

The Blaugrana side have had quite a bit of problems with injuries in recent times, and to top it all, time seems to be ticking away to sign Xavi Hernández away from Al Sadd.

When the new manager gets to the Camp Nou, he will be let know that French striker Ousmané Dembelé's bad run with injuries continues, as he has been diagnosed with a muscular problem on his left knee.

Dembelé had been out for the entire season due to a muscular problem on his right knee, and he had just made his debut in the 2021-22 season in the club's one-nil win over Dynamo Kyiv, and after a 25-minute cameo, the footballer will be out for the next weeks.

The former Borussia Dortmund player has missed out a whopping 98 games due to injury since his signing with Los Blaugranas, and with his contract set to expire next summer, it seems highly unlikely to see the club making an effort to extend his current deal.

If those were not enough bad news for Los Culés, the club also confirmed that defender Sergiño Dest will not be included in the trip to face Celta de Vigo, since the footballer has been experiencing back problems. His return to the pitch will depend on how his body reacts to the treatment provided by the team's medical staff.
