Top games to watch on Matchday 4 in the UEFA Europa League

Olympiakos Piraeus vs Eintracht Frankfurt: Olympiakos and Frankfurt sit in second and first in the table, respectively. Given that third-placed Fenerbahce are four points behind the round of 32 qualification spots, the Greek giants will not be in immediate danger of missing out on the knockout stage should they slip up. However, what is at stake is the no.1 spot as a single point separates the top two sides.

The Bundesliga outfit won 3-1 when they locked horns on Matchday 3, meaning the hosts are now out for revenge. That defeat saw Olympiakos lose the top spot to their German rivals, but victory on Thursday would see them reclaim it almost immediately. Do not miss this tie.

Lyon vs Sparta Praha: Lyon are one of only two teams who boast a perfect record, the other being West Ham, with the French heavyweights winning all three of their previous outings. This includes their earlier encounter with Sparta Praha, which Aouar and Co. triumphed in a thrilling 4-3 showdown.

The Ligue 1 side are now five points clear at the top and could secure their ticket to the round of 32 with a win. However, a lot is on the line for the visitors and they will thus be expected to give all they've got. The Czech side remain in second but have seen their lead over third-placed Rangers diminish to a single point. A second consecutive defeat against Lyon will put them in grave danger of crashing out in the group stage. Will they get revenge over Les Gones? Tune in to find out.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Real Betis: This showdown could go a long way in deciding two things: who will win the group and whether third-placed Celtic will leapfrog any of the top two teams to qualify for the last 32. The German side currently hold the no.1 spot, but only due to goal difference, as they are tied with Real Betis on seven points. Unfortunately, Leverkusen enter this tie on the back of terrible form, having lost their last two fixtures. In fact, Die Werkself are winless in their last five games, having lost three of them while drawing the remaining two – this includes the 1-1 stalemate with Real Betis in the previous Matchday.

As for the Spanish outfit, they are fifth in La Liga but enter this clash on the back of a 3-0 loss to Atletico Madrid. The home advantage will not be in Los Verdiblancos' favor, but with three wins from their last five games, form favors Manuel Pellegrini's side.
