AC Milan will look to keep their unbeaten run in Serie A going when they welcome Torino to San Siro on Tuesday.

Preview

After seeing off Bologna in a difficult clash at the weekend, AC Milan return to action with a midweek Serie A fixture against Torino. The Rossoneri will be poised to keep their unbeaten run in competition going when they host their opponent from Turin who will also be looking for a second successive win. Despite their struggles in the UEFA Champions League, the Milan club has had one of the best starts in their charge to win the Scudetto for the first time in a decade.

They rank alongside Napoli as the only two teams to have avoided defeat this season although they came close to experiencing it on Saturday. After scoring twice through Rafael Leao and Davide Calabria in the meeting with Bologna, Stefano Pioli's men snoozed and conceded twice in quick sucession in the early minutes of the second half to put their position under serious threat.

However, Roberto Soriano's red card in the 58th-minute meant the visitors had to see out the rest of the game with just eight outfield players as Adama Soumaoro had been sent off in the first half. The numerically superior visitors went on to win the game by four goals to two, with Ismaël Bennacer and Pierre Kalulu scoring the remaining two goals.

Milan's comeback win was the second of its kind in a matter if days as they had to do the same to secure victory against Verona in their previous league game. Against Torino, they may not be a third-time lucky although their head-to-head statistics gives room for optimism. The Rossoneri have won each one of their last five meetings with the Turin outfit across all competitions.

As a result, the upcoming clash present a very good opportunity for Torino to get one over the San Siro club with their most recent win coming in the 2-1 victory in September 2019. Also, a revenge mission will be on the cards with the 7-0 defeat in May still fresh in the memories of Ivan Juric's men. Considering that they go into the game on the back of a 3-2 win over Genoa, they should be inspired to potentially upset the odds against the league's second-placed side.

Currently, Torino sit in 12th position with 11 points from nine outings this season. With just five points seperating them from the drop, they will be eager to snatch a favorable result against an injury-plagued AC Milan side.
