Frustration boiled over at the Camp Nou after the 2-1 loss to Real Madrid, with a few supporters confronting the head coach in a disdainful manner.

Sunday was yet another horrible day for Barcelona and their under-fire coach Ronald Koeman. The Catalan giants were in action yesterday, hosting bitter rivals Real Madrid in the latest edition of El Clasico, only for the Blaugrana to disappoint in front of their home crowd once again.

Having won only three of the eight fixtures prior to the weekend clash, Depay and Co. were in dire need of a victory. Unfortunately, Koeman's men weren't able to pick up a point, instead losing 2-1 to fall six points behind league leaders Real Sociedad.

David Alaba scored the opening goal, having won the ball back in his own third before bursting up the pitch to complete an excellent counter attack. Things remained like this until stoppage time, with Lucas Vazquez doubling the visitors' lead, rendering Sergio Aguero's consolation goal right before the final whistle nothing more than that – a consolation goal.

This result saw the already-struggling Koeman make history, but for all the wrong reasons. Having lost his first two Clasico outings last season, the Dutchman became the first Barcelona coach in 81 years to suffer defeats in his first three encounters with Real Madrid, joining Patrick O'Connell, who set this unwanted record between 1935 and 1940.

As a result, calls for his exit reached an all-time high straight after the game, and understandably so. Unfortunately, a few fans went too far in expressing their frustrations with the gaffer and club icon, with a gang of supporters mobbing and harassing the Dutchman as he left the stadium. It did not take long for this altercation to come to the attention of Barcelona as the club swiftly put out a statement, condemning the "violent and disdain acts" while promising to take action against those that targeted the Camp Nou boss. However, the club made sure not to generalize everyone as this was a small group in comparison to the entire match attendees as the Blaugrana also thanked the match-goers for showing their support for the team.
