The defending champions want to bounce back from their loss to Juventus last time out, and what better way to do so than in front of their home crowd.

Chelsea will be looking to go back to winning ways this Wednesday when their activity in the 2021-22 UEFA Champions League resumes for them. The Blues were shocked by Juventus last time out, but their match against Malmö will give them a chance to prove that loss against the bianconeri was only a minor setback and that their chances to win the group remain unscathed.

On the other hand, Malmö will enter this game with no points after two games in the continental competition. To make matters worse, the Swedish side has failed to score once in the group stage, while their defense has conceded seven times.

The game will be key for Chelsea to cement their chances of making the next stage with the least possible worries. The Blues have only been able to score once in the group stage, and their fans will surely want to see striker Romelu Lukaku finding the back of the net as many times as he can here. Coach Tuchel and fans around the world will be glad to welcome back N'Golo Kanté to the team's lineup after recovering from a COVID-19 infection.

As for coach Jon Dahl Tomasson, Malmö will suffer the absence of Anel Ahmedhodzic, who is considered one of the best players in the squad and the leader of Malmö's defense. While there is no clear indication of who will fill his void, Niklas Moisander is expected to start as his replacement. That, and four injury absences for the Swedish side, could end up making their trip to Stamford Bridge a living hell.

Here are a few facts and stats ahead of Wednesday's game between Chelsea and Malmö.
