Great Britain vs Uruguay is arguably the highlight of Wednesday’s matches at the Olympic Men’s Soccer tournament on a day when Spain can only bid farewell.

Great Britain primed to make it into the quarter-finals at the Olympics. In Group A, three teams remain in contention for the quarter-finals. Great Britain lead the way with four points like Senegal while Uruguay are just behind with three points from a possible six.

African contenders Senegal exhibited their energy in a stunning 2-0 victory over Luis Suarez’s Uruguay last weekend. Expect the Senegalese to avoid defeat in the hands of the United Arab Emirates. The latter are going home, but which team will join them out of the London 2012 Olympic Men’s Soccer competition?

The pressure is firmly on New Zealand as they stand a chance of going through alongside Brazil. In the table’s other match, Egypt face the prospect of being the first African nation to qualify or exit the London 2012 Olympic Men’s Soccer tournament. Spain are out, Honduras can fight for a place in the Last 8.

Like Brazil, Spain have nothing to play for, ironically. The Spaniards are well and truly out of contention following back-to-back 1-0 losses.

However, pride is at stake against Morocco. Current group leaders Japan are through while second-placed Honduras are tipped to hold on and eventually qualify but the Moroccans are plotting a late comeback.

Could Morocco leave Spain without a single point in Group D? Which team joins Japan in the next stage between Honduras and Morocco? Find answers to these questions by watching Spain vs Morocco live on BBC Olympics in UK and NBC Olympics Live Extra and Telemundo Deportes in USA.
