Flush with a huge influx of cash thanks to a big investment from a Saudi Arabian group, the struggling English side will be keen bolstering their squad as quickly as possible.

It's safe to say that Newcastle United will now have a lot more money to spend in the upcoming transfer window. Thanks to a recent mega-money investment from Saudi Arabia's  Public Investment Fund (PIF), which saw the group acquire 80 percent of shares, the Magpies now will begin the process of rapidly bolstering their struggling squad.

According to Italian publication Tuttosport, Newcastle's ownership have turned their eyes to Serie A, with several players on their radar.

One is AC Milan's Franck Kessie. The Ivorian star has run into some issues with his contract at the Stadio San Siro, and thus could be open to making a move - especially if the price is right. With his contract expiring in June 2022 and apparently already being offered to Milan's cross-town rivals Inter, Kessie may decide to say arrivederci to Italy and try his fortunes elsewhere.

Another player that has apparently garnered the addition of Newcastle is Juventus ace Federico Chiesa, along with his teammate, Matthijs de Ligt. The Dutch defender has had his ups and downs since arriving in Turin from Ajax, but nonetheless has a release clause of about €150 million inserted into this contract, meaning that Newcastle will have to pony up if they want to bring him on board.

Finally, the same report also links Inter duo Marcelo Brozovic and Stefan de Vrij with a move to St. James' Park. Brozovic, who was part of Croatia's surprise run to the 2018 World Cup finals, sees his deal with the reigning Scudetto champs expire in 2022, so he, like Kessie, could be amenable to a move elsewhere if his current club don't offer him terms to his liking.

Whether any of these aforementioned players arrive in England next year remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: Newcastle, now flush with cash, are determined to make a major splash in the upcoming transfer market.
