The two-time Olympic gold medalists will need to be at their very best to dispose of difficult African opponents.
Uruguay will be hoping to build on last Thursday's come-back victory over the United Arab Emirates when they take on Senegal at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

Much is at stake for the Uruguayans, as if they manage to obtain the three points they will practically be assured of progression to the following stage of the competition.

Uruguay, who won the Olympic gold medal in 1924 and 1928, have regained their status as a leading soccer nation after a number of successes in recent years, and they are considered one of the main candidates to win the competition.

Oscar Washington Tabarez's side started in grand style, with a 2-1 victory over the United Arab Emirates at Old Trafford, but although they claimed an important result they definitely were not at their best.

Star strikers Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani could only show signs of their brilliance, as although they looked dangerous they could barely penetrate the UAE defence.

Uruguay will need the inspiration of their attacking duo if they want to triumph over Senegal, as the Africans are pumped after snatching a last-gasp 1-1 draw in their group opener against the United Kingdom.

The Uruguayans surely won't take Senegal lightly, as they still have sour memories of when their senior national team were eliminated from the 2002 World Cup at the group stage after fighting out a thrilling 3-3 draw with the Africans.

Tabarez, who also coaches Uruguay's senior side, will make one change to the side which beat the UAE, with match-winner Nicolas Lodeiro coming in for Matias Aguirregaray.

Uruguay's starting XL will comprise of the following players: Campana, Arias, Rolin, Coates, Albin, Arevalo Rios, Calzada, Lodeiro, Ramirez, Suarez and Cavani.
