AVB has confirmed that the mind and heart of Luka Modric is no more at White Hart Lane as Real Madrid remain favourites to win the transfer race to sign the player.
Luka Modric is reportedly doing everything possible to quit Tottenham Hotspur during this summer’s transfer window. The Croatian midfielder did not travel with the squad for the pre-season tour in the United States.
According to new Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas, the club does not appreciate Luka Modric’s behaviour. Speaking to AS, the Portuguese man revealed:
“I think Modric is wrong. This will go against him. He has worsened the situation with what he's doing and now the chairman is very angry.
“This is also not a good time for Daniel Levy, who is in the USA at the moment, because his wife is ill.”
Andre Villas-Boas could however not deny the importance of Luka Modric as a player. The coach concluded:
“He will be a big loss. He's a player who can make the difference, who gives a lot of clarity to the play when the team needs it and who can play in several positions.”
Tottenham Hotspur will face Los Angeles Galaxy on Tuesday in an international club friendly. Hot Real Madrid transfer target Luka Modric will not take part in the match.
