The Egyptian attacker found the back of the net with a potential Goal of the Month contender in Sunday's stalemates.

Another special reel in the Premier League was captured right in front of the Kop at Anfield as Mohamed Salah added to his glowing reputation with yet another big moment. The 29-year-old Egyptian almost guided Liverpool to a remarkable win in Sunday's enthraling encounter with Manchester City but for a late Kevin De Bruyne goal to ruin the party for the Merseysiders.

Following a rather drab but an action-filled goalless first 45 minutes, the game had life breathed into it in the second half. It was the Reds who were fired in front by Sadio Mane who, bar his strike in the 59th miinute, had underperformed for the most part of the encounter. Once again it was the Senegalese forward's connection with Salah that yielded the goal as the latter carefully laid the ball on the plate for his fellow attacker who simply put the ball past Ederson.

Exacltly 10 minutes later, Phil Foden drew the game level by expoliting the massive space left on the left flank by the Liverpool defence. However, the lead did not last as Salah will emerge once more to cause more problems by dropping an earliy contender for the best goal of the season. Watch the goal below:

Unfortunately for Liverpool, Salah's goal was not enough to secure all three points for them. Kevin De Bruyne's 81st-minute equaliser guaranteed Manchester City departed Anfield with a share of the spoils. The pair occupy second and third on the league log and it is the Reds who have the upper hand over the Manchester club by leading them by just a point.

Meanwhile, and for the first time this season, both Salah and Phil Foden received the Player of the Match awards after both were declared as the joint-recipients.
