In case of failure against the Swedes, France could also count on England to live up to expectations and beat underdogs Ukraine. Such a situation would put Les Bleus through ahead of Ukraine on head-to-head. However, if England fail to beat Ukraine, the French will crash out of Euro 2012 should they lose to Sweden.
Talking about the Swedes, they were narrowly defeated against Ukraine and England respectively. They will be hoping to steal a bit of pride against France. Captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not have the chance to lead his country in the knockout stages but he could force Franck Ribery, Karim Benzema, Samir Nasri and company to go home with him.
