The Portuguese icon has wasted no time in making an impression in his second spell at the Theatre of Dreams.

It's no secret that Cristiano Ronaldo has made an instant impact since securing his return to Old Trafford. The Portuguese icon took to life back at Man United like a duck in water, netting in his home debut, away debut, and European debut for the Red Devils.

Despite scoring four goals in his opening three games for Solskjaer's men, one must not make the mistake of overlooking his impact off the pitch. For a long time, CR7's teammates – both present and past – have spoken highly about the attacker's elite mindset and never-ending pursuit of perfection. According to David de Gea, that aspect is already beginning to influence others in the squad.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Spanish shot-stopper, who was at the heart of Man United's thrilling 2-1 win over West Ham in the Premier League last weekend, spoke in great lengths about the value the 36-year-old brings to the Theatre of Dreams. He argued, and rightly so, that seeing the amount of effort a legend of the game exerts in the gym will be tremendously beneficial for the younger players.

"I think that the impact is already there. It's amazing to have him back at home," De Gea said.

"He's already a legend in the club, so I think for the players, for the young lads, for everyone, he's a great guy to see every day how he works in the gym, how he treats himself, how he takes care of his body, and of himself."

"He is an amazing player and it's great to see him here every day working hard and helping the team."

This comes as little surprise. Ronaldo is known for being disciplined and strict when it comes to his diet, never indulging in a cheat meal. This was visible for all to see when the Portugal captain reacted angrily to seeing Coco Cola bottles during a Euro 2020 press conference.

Despite all of this, the five-time Ballon d'Or is up for a hefty task at Man United. Ole boasts an excellent squad but their credentials as title challengers remain doubtful. The Red Devils have spent heavily under the Norwegian's reign but have lifted no trophies under his guidance. Cristiano will be looking to change that!
