The Neapolitans would take a giant leap towards Champions League qualification if they manage to defeat Roma on Saturday.
Napoli travel to the Stadio Olimpico to take on Roma in a match which they must win in order to move within touching distance of a place in the UEFA Champions League.

Walter Mazzarri's side have been in sensational form in recent games, and against Roma they will rate their chances of returning home with the three points, even if the hosts also find themselves in a must-win situation in order to keep their Champions League dream alive.

"Tomorrow's match counts more than the others because it is the one that comes first. We know the extreme difficulties that await us at the Olimpico, and we will prepare for them in the best possible manner," said Mazzarri.

"We come from two consecutive wins, the team are steady and compact, but today soccer doesn't ever allow you to feel comfortable. Each event is a match aside."

Napoli, who sit in fourth-place, just one point from the Champions League qualification zone, which currently belongs to Lazio, will be expecting a hostile Roman crowd in what promises to be an action-packed Derby of the Sun.

In respect to the big crowd that awaits the fixture, Mazzarri affirmed that it will not have any effect on the outcome of the match whatsoever, as it is the players who decide this.

"The atmosphere doesn't interest us at all. When we play we have to isolate ourselves from the crowd. How we will play the match will only depend on us.

"Tomorrow we will have to overcome numerous obstacles. With the guys we've experienced so much together, and our togetherness has taken us a long way, and hopefully it will continue to produce results. Then, it is clear that the outcome of matches is often due to tiny events or factors."

Finally, the coach praised Roma captain Francesco Totti, who he rates very highly, and he also outlined the main factors that will increase his team's chances of winning the game.

"Roma have an extraordinary champion who is Totti and he can always make a difference. But we have to rely on our strength and organization. If we get a result tomorrow it will be because we put on a perfect performance," he concluded.
