This weekend's action in the Bundesliga served up a few talking points with teams going at it in the third round of matches.

Another matchday in the Bundesliga served up thrills and excitment across the various venues with several clubs staging commendable performances and holding out for favorable results ahead of the international break. For the third week running, the league table presented an outlook different from what most clubs associate with the competition with a club other than Bayern Munich occupying top spot. Currently remaining as the only side in the Bundesliga to have registered three wins in three outings, Wolfsburg top the pile after the weekend's victory over RB Leipzig.

Needless to say, Die Roten are equally trailing them closely and added to their unbeaten run this season wutg a 5-0 win over Hertha BSC. Prior to that, Borussia Dortmund had dug deep to defeat Hoffeinham 3-2 - ultimately Erling Haaland scoring the winner in the 91st minute to snatch the maximum points for his side. Meanwhile, Borussia Monchengladbach's poor start continued with the Adolf Hutter's men falling to a 2-1 defeat away to Union Berlin.
