A shock result for reigning champions Bayern on MD 1 was the biggest talking point. Will MD two generate even more buzz for Bundesliga fans?

Last round saw some surprising results, namely Bayern dropping points in their season opener for the first time - in, well, seemingly forever. Although Robert Lewandowski got onto the scoresheet (no shock there!), the Polish star wasn't able to ensure that his team picked up all three points against a stubborn Borussia M'gladbach side that have increasingly given Bayern headaches lately.

Here's all you need to know ahead of matchday two.

Bundesliga standings heading into matchday two

No place for Bayern in this early round up of the league's top five, but that's sure to change pretty soon

Bundesliga games you won't want to miss on matchday two

RB Leipzig vs Stuttgart: So why is this game, which kicks off matchday two as it starts on Friday, on this list? Because it's set to be historic. How? Both teams currently have an American as their manager, with Jesse Marsch taking over from Julian Naglesmann at the end of last season, while Stuttgart is currently under the tutelage of Pellegrino Matarazzo. So, it'll be the first time two American managers go head to head in German football's top flight.

Freiburg vs Borussia Dortmund: Following their heavy loss in the DFL-Supercup to perennial rivals Bayern, all eyes will be on how die Schwarzgelben respond as they travel to face Freiburg on the road on Saturday. Will they be able to successfully get back on track and make it two league wins in two?

Bayer Leverkusen vs Borussia M'gladbach: Both teams drew their season openers, but it's Gladbach who likely will be the more happy with their result as they successfully held serial Bundesliga winners Bayern to a one-all draw in Naglesmann's first day in charge.

Bayern Munich vs Koln: After a surprise draw on matchday one, die Roten did rebound with a 3-1 win in the DFL-Supercup over Dortmund. But, with the club still mourning the loss of legendary striker Gerd Muller, will the Bavarian titans be able to gather and regroup ahead of the arrival of Koln on Sunday?
