Everything seemed to be sunshine and rainbows at PSG following Lionel Messi's arrival, but it seems that one of the team's most appreciated footballers is not willing to be part of the plan to make Messi feel comfortable at his new home.
According to French journalist Thibaud Vezirain, Kylian Mbappé is ready to push for an exit away from PSG. The reason? He is not willing to play next to Messi.
"Kylian Mbappé wants to leave. He has asked for his exit bonus and he does not want to extend his contract. Either he is transferred to Real Madrid this summer, or he will join them on a free deal next season. He had told the team's main men that he was not interested in playing with Messi," Vezirain wrote in L'Equipe.
This report may seem quite shocking to most, as PSG announced Messi with a number of videos where they showed Neymar and Mbappé's jersey right next to where Messi will be sitting in the dressing room. As of now , Mbappé is one of the few PSG players not to welcome the Argentine to the team on social media.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi stated earlier today that Mbappé has no reason to leave the team this summer, since they have met with every demand he has made to extend his contract. Moreover, he insisted that PSG will do everything that is in their power to keep the player around for a long time, which hints that the footballer will not be allowed to leave as easily as he thinks.
