The Argentine ace is seemingly close to joining Les Parisiens in the next few days after being handed an offer he will not be able to refuse.

It seems that Lionel Messi's career will continue at PSG given the recent reports coming in from Spain and France, and it seems that the decision was easy to make considering how fast negotiations have gone by since Barcelona's announcement about his exit.

With that in mind, the Argentine's deal with PSG has been leaked by French newspaper L'Equipe, and honestly, we are quite surprised by the numbers in it and the ramifications it will have within the team and in European football.

The French newspaper states that Messi's deal with PSG will run from 2021 to 2023 initially, with the club having an option to extend the contract for one more seasons if all parties agree to it. Added to that, Messi will be collecting a bit over €40M euros during those two -or three- years (around $47M), which will make him the best-paid player in the team, even above his friend Neymar, who reportedly earns around €35M (around $41M).

Once those two or three years end, PSG would facilitate Messi's arrival to a Major League Soccer club, where the footballer wants to put an end to his illustrious career.

The announcement of Messi's signing, as per sources consulted by L'Equipe, could take place on Tuesday after PSG president booked the Eifferl Tower for a private event. This is how the club unveiled Neymar back in 2017, and they are interested in giving Messi the same treatment.

Before that happens, Messi is set to appear in a press conference on Sunday, where he will bid farewell to Barcelona fans after a 20-year stay at the club.
