The Reds have quite a few names on their radar, but before they can sign those footballers, they need to sell some of the players included in this list.

Liverpool kicked off their activity in the summer transfer window, but they have not been able to keep that up due to the need to let some players leave. Now, time is of the essence for Klopp and Co. to register their 25-man squad for the 2021-22 season and try to add more footballers to their roster before it is too late.

According to a report by The Mirror, Klopp and his bosses have focused their attention on letting players leave the club, with most of them giving them a bit of an edge to comply with Financial Fair Play rules and to boost their chances of hiring some of their transfer targets, which include Manuel Locatelli, Saul Niguez, or Florian Neuhaus.

The players tipped to leave the club as per this report are Divock Origi, Xherdan Shaqiri, Loris Karius, Ben Davies, Nathaniel Phillips, and Sheyi Ojo. As you can see, at least two of these players have not played in quite a while for the Reds, which may also make sense to get rid of their wages.

Out of the players mentioned above, Origi and Shaqiri seem to have the best options to leave, as the striker has been linked to Wolverhampton and Lazio, while the winger has also been tempted by Lazio. Another footballer who has been linked to a loan transfer is Ben Davies, who has been targeted by some Championship clubs.

The rest of the players could be loaned away from Anfield if the right offer comes along, but the main problem the Reds have faced are their high asking prices for these players. So, if Jurgen Klopp wants to have the kind of team he wishes for, he will have to ask his bosses to lower their monetary expectations and let these players leave in order to have an idea on what sort of budget they will have to hire new blood.
