The player will be unveiled as a new Red Devil once he completes the mandatory quarantine period set by England on all foreign travelers.

After weeks of speculation, Raphael Varane will have to pack his bags and join a new team, as Manchester United and Real Madrid have agreed terms to transfer the French center back to Old Trafford this summer.

The footballer, who won four UEFA Champions League titles and many other trophies with Los Blancos, will become a Red Devil after a ten-year stay at the Bernabeu.

In a brief press release, Manchester United have announced the end of negotiations between themselves and the Spanish club, which will result in Varane's deal made official soon.

"Manchester United is delighted to announce the club has reached agreement with Real Madrid for the transfer of French international defender and World Cup winner, Raphaël Varane, subject to a medical and to player terms being finalised," the press release states.

Varane's partnership with Sergio Ramos was frequently named as one of the best center back duos in modern football. Added to that, his goalscoring skills were also displayed with the Spanish giants, having found the back of the net 17 times in 360 games.

The Spanish club has also issued a statement regarding Varane's exit on their social media platforms.

"Our club thanks the player for his professionalism and exemplary conduct throughout his ten seasons representing our colours, during which time he has won 18 titles: 4 Champions Leagues, 4 Club World Cups, 3 European Super Cups, 3 LaLiga titles, 1 Copa del Rey and 3 Spanish Super Cups," the document states.

Varane's deal at Manchester United will reportedly include a wage increase from his current contract at Real Madrid. The length of the contract is expected to be for the next five years.
