The Blaugrana side needs to let go some of their highest earners to add their new footballers, but those on the exit ramp are not making it easy for them.

The summer transfer window has not been easy for Barcelona, and things are not getting less complicated for them when it comes to those players that have to leave the club in order to add new footballers...or re-sign Lionel Messi.

One of those players that have to leave due to their large wages is none other than Antoine Griezmann, who has reportedly agreed terms to leave the club and return to Atlético Madrid. The main problem for Los Culés is that Griezmann will not leave the club until the team agrees to grant him one last wish.

That wish has to do with the amount of wage money Los Blaugranas asked all footballers to surrender due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Apparently, the agreement stated that Griezmann was to collect that money in six years unless a transfer away from the club took place. Now, with the player close to returning to Los Colchoneros, he has asked the team to live up to their vow, and if they don't do so, he will not agree to a move away from the Camp Nou.

According to Spanish TV show El Chiringuito, the player will not give Barcelona any more headaches after this negotiation comes to an end, since he is aware that Barcelona does not want him around and he has made up his mind on where he wants to play next season, and probably until the end of his career.
