The Italian club is desperate to find a new playmaker after the Turkish ace's departure, and this low-cost option would fit the bill just fine.

Italian side AC Milan are desperate to find a replacement for Hakan Calhanoglu, and added to the reported interest in James Rodríguez, the rossoneri are keeping their options open by adding one more name to their transfer wishlist.

According to a report by Spanish newspaper As, the Italian club has already started inquiries to sign one of Real Madrid's players who have been singled out as potential transfers. The Spanish publication suggests that, added to their interest in signing the player in 2014, 2017, and 2018, the rossoneri would be keen on handing Los Blancos an offer to sign Isco once and for all.

The Malaga-born player has only been limited to cameo appearances in the past season, and due to this fact, the footballer even went as far as to ask the team's president to let him leave in the winter transfer window. Nonetheless, Los Blancos decided to keep him around for the end of the season, even if his situation did not change that much during the second half of the 2020-21 campaign.

Added to his problems on the pitch, Isco did not help his case after being caught on camera making fun of then-coach Zinedine Zidane, which also created a problem between them. If that was not enough reason to keep him on the bench, his fitness levels began to drop, making Zidane's choice to relegate him easier.

Now, with Carlo Ancelotti at the helm, it seems that Isco's mind is still set on a transfer, and Sevilla have been the first club to be linked with a potential deal. Now, the rossoneri would be reportedly willing to pay a bit over $20M for the player's services if Real Madrid choose to sell. If a deal is finalized, it would be interesting to see how Isco behaves in the Italian top-flight, although there may be a long way to go to see those negotiations come to fruition.
