The English sensation is expected to complete his medicals in the coming days.

Manchester United have finally agreed a deal in principle with Borussia Dortmund to sign Jadon Sancho, reports from the UK on Wednesday night have confirmed. The 21-year-old forward is said to be closing in on a switch to Old Trafford that is expected to cost the Red Devils £73M in transfer fees, making him the club's third-most expensive signing.

The Dortmund star's transfer is one that has dragged on for a while in recent years but the saga is almost over as he is now commited to signing a five year deal with the Premier League club. His move was expected to be completed last season but the two clubs failed to reach an agreement on the price tag despite the player accepting the personal terms proposed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

Having stayed at Die BVB for one more season, he justified why he was among the highly-rated stars in the Bundesliga by finishing the 2020/2021 season with 16 goals and 22 assists in 38 appearances. He was once again crucial in the Signal Iduna Park outfit's charge to secure a Champions League spot for the upcoming season despte having started poorly

With less than two years left on his current contract, the move to Manchester United has seen a little close to £35M being slashed from the initial price tag of Sancho. Needless to say, the Red Devils will be paying an initial £73M pound fee to the Bundesliga club with £5M expected to be added in add-ons. According to Sky Sports, Sancho is subject to a medical but neither club expect any issues. The player, who is currently at the Euros with England, will put pen to paper after the competition. He has mainly been an unused substitute and has played only six minutes so far.
