Brasileirao games to watch this week

One more week of action is heading our way in the Brazilian Serie A, with the battle for the top spots getting tougher every week.

Fortaleza remain the top team in the league with their winning streak still running, while Botafogo are still one point behind them after a draw. The big thing to keep in mind is that Fortaleza still have a game in hand, which could broaden the gap between them. Nonetheless, Botafogo vs Fortaleza this weekend could be one of the best matches of the season, and fans of great soccer games should really keep an eye on it.

Sunday's games will be equally interesting, with the first one to follow being a classic tie: Corinthians vs Flamengo. The hosts have not won any of their last five games (three draws, two losses), while the Rubro-Negro just ended a three-game run without a win last weekend. This could give them a big chance to climb back up the standings, which will be critical to them if they want to opt for the title.

Another clash that is worthy of keeping an eye on is Athletico-PR vs Palmeiras, where the Verdao will try to take advantage of any slip-ups from the Botafogo vs Fortaleza game. Palmeiras are three points behind the second-placed team, and a win here would to wonders for their title hopes.

Without further ado, here is the full list of Brazilian Serie A matches being held this week.
