The Mexican league comes back in full throttle, giving fans some big games to keep track of before the international break. This will be an interesting week for many reasons, starting with one of the biggest rivalries in Mexico's league, which also happened to be the most recent title clash. Added to that game, the league has also scheduled a game between two teams fighting for the top spot and who could benefit from a potential loss by the league leaders.

Monterrey vs Toluca - Los Rayados will face the first big test of the Martin Demichelis era when they welcome Toluca at BBVA Stadium. Nonetheless, a win for Toluca here would send them to the top spot of the competition, which could be enough motivation to stun Rayados at home for the first time since 2016.

Cruz Azul vs América - La Máquina get to this match as league leaders, as the second most prolific team in front of goal, and with the best defensive unit in the leaguem which has allowed only one goal in five games. Despite those positive numbers, something happens to Cruz Azul when they battle América, the defending champions who seem to have lost a bit of their intensity and who have lost more games this season than in the entire 2023-24 campaign.
