The 2024 MLS Season is set to return this week, but it will not be the only competition available for MLS Season Pass users this week.
The week will kick off with the final games of one more edition of the Leagues Cup, where once again Major League Soccer clubs have dominated their Liga MX counterparts and managed to claim all semi-final spots. As things stand, Columbus Crew, Philadelphia Union, Los Angeles FC, and Colorado Rapids still have a shot at reaching the final and the added bonus of a spot in the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup.
But just as we said before, the main item of concern will be the return of the 2024 Major League Soccer season after more than a month's hiatus. Only two games will be postponed from the weekend's fixtures, since the current MLS Cup winners and Philadelphia were supposed to play this weekend. Meanwhile, LAFC will have an away match postponed and the Colorado Rapids had been given a bye for the weekend, which means that the league will not struggle to re-schedule matches.
