La Roja was forced to bounce back from one of the worst mistakes ever made in a UEFA Euro game after this stunning play by the Spanish duo.

In what has turned out to be the UEFA Euro edition with the most own goals scored, the game between Croatia and Spain will forever grace the highlight reels whenever anyone speaks of the most embarrassing own goal thanks to Pedri and Unai Simón.

La Roja, who made the most out of an own goal by Martin Dubravka in their previous clash, saw how Pedri and the Athletic Club goalkeeper combined for one of the most baffling own goals in history, as Pedri passed the ball back to Simón in what seemed to be a harmless move. Nevertheless, Simón's poor ball-handling skills came to light and ended with him searching for the ball lying in the back of the net.

Even if Spain managed to get the equalizer prior to the end of the first half, fans did not waste any time to mock both Pedri and Simón for this incident. Scroll down to see what people had to say about the ninth own goal in the tournament.
