Italian football fans living in the United States will not have to look elsewhere for their favorite teams, as CBS and the Lega Serie A have confirmed the extension of their current deal for the next four seasons.
Network and competition execs have agreed to extend their relationship due to the American company's commitment to the game. Since there will be many USMNT players involved in the tournament, it was only a matter of time before the deal was confirmed.
The multi-platform deal, which will feature over 400 Serie A games, will also include coverage of the Coppa Italia and all Supercoppa Italia matches until the deal comes to an end.
Italian competitions will be available to watch mostly on Paramount+. with select fixtures being available on CBS, CBS Sports, CBS Sports Network, and CBS Sports Golazo Network.
Coverage will obviously center on the American-owned teams, which saw their total rise to nine this season. To top it all, names such as Christian Pulisic, Yunus Musah, Weston McKennie, and more should be among the best players in the league, and U.S.-based fans will be able to watch their antics thanks to this network.
The first Serie A game aired on this network in 2021, which means that by the end of the deal, CBS and all its media outlets will have covered the Serie A for seven years. Additional coverage to live games will include analysis, highlights, and expert commentary in the network's channels and streaming platforms.
Further details on which fixtures will be covered by each platform will be revealed at a later date.
