On Tuesday, Spain booked their ticket to the Euro 2024 final, beating France 2-1 in an unforgettable showdown between two European powerhouses.
However, while La Furia Roja fans and players were celebrating this achievement immediately after the final whistle, one player was handed a huge concern after an unfortunate collision with a security guard.
That man is Alvaro Morata, the national team captain who started Tuesday's semifinal before being subbed off in the 76th minute. The Atletico Madrid ace was left in visible pain during the on-pitch celebrations after a guard collided with his knee.
This incident all began when a spectator invaded the pitch, sparking a swift reaction from the security staff. However, one guard slipped while sprinting to intercept the pitch invader and sadly crashed into Moratta's knee.
The staff member was apologetic and was seen bending over to apologize to the hurting Morata. Understandably, fans began worrying whether their captain will miss the Euro 2024 final on Sunday.

The striker offered an update when leaving his team's hotel in Munich. According to Marca, the 31-year-old revealed that he should be fine for the weekend final. Furthermore, he was able to crack a joke about this incident, arguing that the security guard should have been booked for his tackle.
"It (the security guard's challenge) was a yellow card and that's it," Morata joked, as per Marca.
Speaking after the match, Spain head coach Luis de la Fuente echoed a similar sentiment, revealing that his captain should be available for the final despite leaving the stadium in pain.
La Furia Roja would not want to lose Morata to injury as they sit 90 minutes away from a fourth European Championship. The joint-most successful nation in this competition already lost Pedri to injury in the quarterfinals. Additionally, Jesus Navas limped off the pitch in the 2-1 win over France, though Dani Carvajal should be back for the final after missing the semifinal through suspension.
The other finalist will be decided on Wednesday, with the Netherlands and England facing off in the second semifinal game. The winner of this clash will face the 2010 FIFA World Cup winners on July 14.
