Group C in the 2024 Copa América will see its end on Monday. Both games will be held simultaneously to avoid foul play from any teams involved. Uruguay are top of the group with six points, but even with that performance, La Celeste is yet to secure the top spot, which they will do if they win or draw their match against the United States.
On that note, the USMNT is second in this group following their win against Bolivia and their defeat to Panama. As things stand, not even a win will secure a spot in the next round for the Stars and Stripes, since a win by Panama by a wide margin could leave them out of the competition even if they beat Uruguay on Monday. A draw and a loss would also leave them out in case Panama collect one point in the other match.
Panama are third in the competition with one win (vs the United States) and a loss (against Uruguay). Los Canaleros will not be able to win their group due to that loss to La Celeste, but they can still be second if they beat Bolivia. A draw would also do the trick for them if the Yanks lose, and a defeat for them, combined with a loss by the USMNT would also see them through if the Americans lose by a wider margin than them.
Bolivia, with two losses, are already out of the competition. Their biggest aspiration right now is not to be a stepping stone for Panama in their last game, but other than that, the only thing left for them to do is to save a bit of their pride.
