MLS Matchday 10 preview: How to watch all 13 games, including Inter Miami vs. Orlando City

June 25, 2021 By Juan Aguerrevere
Major League Soccer resumes Friday, June 25, with Matchday 10 action, featuring 13 regular-season games across the USA. Catch up on all that has gone down in MLS and how to watch the upcoming games on television and online.

MLS Matchday 10 games on U.S. TV

Four of the 13 MLS games slated for this weekend will air live on national television. Take a look at what to look forward to in each of the four games.

Inter Miami vs. Orlando City on Friday at 8:25 p.m. ET (FS1/FOX Deportes)

Week 10 of the 2021 MLS season will start on Friday when Inter Miami host Orlando City at DRV PNK Stadium in South Florida. The fifth edition of the Florida Derby comes when Miami and Orlando search for three points for different reasons.

Despite changes in the front office, managerial staff and roster, Inter Miami's results on the pitch this season have been as poor as the last. The Herons arrive at Matchday 10 with eight points after nine matches, compared to the 11 points they had after nine games last season.

On the other hand, rivals Orlando City are living their best start to an MLS season, earning 18 points from nine games. The team features a strong attacking presence in Nani, Tesho Akindele, Benji Michel, Daryl Dike, Mauricio Pereyra and Silvester Van der Water, who have combined for 14 goals this season. Dike, who scored nine goals in 13 starts for Barnsley in the English Championship, bagged a brace on Tuesday when he returned to MLS against San Jose.

All in all, Inter Miami is in dire need of a win to edge closer to a playoff spot. Also, head coach Gary Neville and his men will look to win their first home game of the season after a dry 0-1-3 run in DRV PNK Stadium. As for Orlando, a win would keep them in the race for a first-place finish in the east and the Supporters' Shield.

Sporting KC vs. LAFC on Saturday at 5:38 p.m. ET (ESPN/ESPN Deportes)

Sporting Kansas City ranks third overall in MLS this season with 20 points after eleven games and first in goals scored with 20. Despite their current position in the Western Conference, the Wizards are in danger of being overtaken. The LA Galaxy and the Colorado Rapids have played two games less than Sporting KC and are within a four-point range. Kansas City needs to take down LAFC to keep their position in the west.

On the flip side, Los Angeles FC will visit Kansas City in search of three points that could help them jump back into a playoff position. LAFC manager Bob Bradley will look to get a win-streak going after defeating FC Dallas at Banc of California Stadium on Wednesday.

Real Salt Lake vs. Houston Dynamo on Saturday at 8:08 p.m. ET (TUDN USA)

Real Salt Lake and the Houston Dynamo will go toe-to-toe on Saturday night. Only one point separates the two Western Conference sides. However, RSL is in a better position despite sitting below the Dynamo in the standings. The Claret and Cobalt have two games in hand, something that could come in handy later down the road. For now, a win would see them jump one or maybe three positions depending on other games.

Austin FC vs. Columbus Crew on Sunday at 8:25 p.m. ET (FS1/FOX Deportes)

Austin FC will return to their new home ground, Q2 Stadium, to host MLS Cup reigning champions, the Columbus Crew. The expansion side has seen its fair share of ups and downs in its first-ever MLS campaign. Wins against Colorado and Minnesota early in the season had Austin fans off their seats. However, Austin FC followed up those victories up with a seven-game winless streak – three draws, four losses. A win on Sunday against the reigning champions at Q2 Stadium would serve as the perfect medicine for home fans.
