Another edition of the Copa América is coming, and it is now the proper time to see which teams are bound to become title contenders and which ones will just participate in the competition.
The expanded lot of teams forces us to look into five profiles of teams that have the highest chances of winning the title, whether it is because of their quality or for other issues. In most cases, these teams have previously won the Copa América on multiple occasions, which makes them suitable options for all betting enthusiasts.
Without any delay, let us jump into the profiles of the teams that have the best chances of winning the Copa América 2024.
5. USA
The Stars and Stripes may not be considered a title contender for their quality, but they certainly have reasons to believe they can do it because of what can go on away from the pitch. Gregg Berhalter's men will host the competition for the second time, and on their last run in this competition they finished fourth, which gives us reasons to believe in their hopes for success. Led by their best squad in years, the Yanks seem like Concacaf's biggest hope for success, and they will surely try to make things happen in front of their supporters.

4. Colombia
Los Cafeteros return to the competition following a third-place finish in 2021, and now they will want to improve that performance by reaching the title clash, something they have not done since they won the trophy in 2001. The team coached by Nestor Lorenzo has an interesting mix of experienced players and some new talent, led by captain James Rodríguez in search of his 100th cap with Colombia. Some of the team's veterans like David Ospina will also be back for the tournament, and with a third place to show for in the current WC Qualifiers, Colombia may not be a far-fetched option to lift the title.

3. Brazil
Usually, Brazil is the top title contender in this competition, but after a shaky start of the World Cup Qualifiers and the lack of a permanent boss for many months, it is safe to say that A Canarinha might struggle to find their feet in the upcoming competition. Nonetheless, having players on their roster such as Casemiro, Vinicius, Rodrygo, and striking sensation Endrick could be enough to give them a spot among the title contenders. The Brazilian side has reached the title clash in the two most recent editions of the Copa, and quite frankly, making it to the title clash would surely be product of their individual talent rather than due to their team efforts.

2. Uruguay
La Celeste has not made it past the Quarterfinals in their last three Copa América runs, but they have certainly taken the necessary steps to see the end of the competition. Under Marcelo Bielsa's belt, the joint-most winning team in the competition has established itself as one of the most consistent teams in South America, giving them an option to fight both for the title and for the top spot in the World Cup Qualifiers. With Darwin Núnez and Federico Valverde leading the line, Uruguay seem to be the a major contender for this year's competition...but they will have to deal with the hosts and with another major rival.

1. Argentina
The answer was quite obvious, since Argentina have thrived since their win in the 2021 Copa América, and the current World Champions seem like the best option to claim back-to-back titles in this competition. Just like in 2021, Lionel Messi will try to lead the team to one more continental crown, although the legendary footballer will need to forget about what happened in his previous performance in a Copa América held in North America: a penalty kick loss to Chile in 2016, with him as the main culprit by missing one of the spot kicks.
La Albiceleste has only lost one of their last ten games, but that defeat came against Uruguay in the World Cup Qualifiers. Could it be a sign of things to come when the competition's title clash is played?
