The Giallorossi are looking to bolster their squad, with the Arsenal midfielder set to make a switch to the Stadio Olimpico imminently.

Jose Mourinho may have just arrived at Roma, but he's not hesitating in making some key moves in the summer transfer market.

The Special One's appointment surprised many followers, but certainly will delight quite a few Giallorossi supporters who have been waiting two decades to win the Scudetto and over a decade to win any trophies in general.

In order to do that, he needs to bolster his squad, which finished in a disappointing seventh place last season. That means they'll be featuring in the inaugural UEFA Conference League during this upcoming campaign, but if Mourinho has his way, the Lupi will be competing in a higher level competition, such as the Champions League.

One player that Mourinho has targeted is Granit Xhaka. According to Calciomercato.com, the Arsenal midfielder is inching close to finalizing a deal worth €15 million plus bonuses, including an additional €1m should he reach 30 appearances and others incentives.

The 28-year-old Swiss international, who is currently away on duty with the national team set to take on France in the round of 16, has reportedly already secured personal terms with Roma: a four year contract worth €2.5 million per season.
