After over a year without fans inside all stadiums, health authorities in Spain have given their green-light to have fans attending all venues.

Good news for La Liga fans from around the world, as the chance to watch their favorite players live has been given a major boost by Spanish health authorities.

Speaking in a press conference earlier today, Health Minister Carolina Darias revealed that a limited number of fans will be allowed inside all sports venues, which will give supporters a chance to attend football or basketball games.

"We will slowly return to normality when it comes to sports venues. The decision on the percentage of fans that will be allowed inside the stadium will be up to the local health committees in all Spanish communities," Darias stated.

The ruling will also end the mandatory face mask rule while outdoors, although Darias has stated her desire to keep using the device on certain occasions.

"The low number of cases and the current state of the pandemic will allow us to be more flexible. If we're going to be only in our home or in our own environment, we can walk by without a face mask on. But if we are going to take any form of public transport, then we must. We will be able to decide when we must use it and when we can keep it in our pockets," Darias added.

Asked about this ruling, La Liga president Javier Tebas admitted that everyone will benefit after this decision, especially those clubs who had some tough times without their fans inside their stadiums.

"Those are great news. It has to mean that we are about to reach the end of the tunnel," Tebas said.

Cities such as Valencia and Vigo had allowed fans inside their stadiums during the end of the 2020-21 season, but now, all teams will be allowed to welcome fans. Little by little, the world of football seems to be going back to normality...
