Despite a good start to their Copa America run, the Chileans have been under criticism for breaking COVID-19 protocols. According to the Associated Press, the Chilean soccer federation issued a statement on Sunday saying that a barber entered Chile's bubble and made contact with two players. Moreover, Chilean media outlets reported that midfielder Arturo Vidal and defender Gary Medel were the two players in question. As a result, Chile was fined a mere $15,000 for the violation.

Blackburn Rovers striker Ben Brereton scored his first international goal against Bolivia last Friday. The 22-year-old scored in his first start for Chile after failing to score in his first appearance as a substitute against Argentina last Monday.
