Uruguay will look for its first Copa America 2021 win against Chile, who share the lead in Group A along with Argentina with four points after two matches.

Uruguay fell to Argentina 1-0 in the Clasico del Rio de la Plata last Friday. As a result, La Celeste finds themselves in fourth place in the Copa America Group A, with zero points and a goal against after one game.

On the other hand, Chile is yet to lose a game after a 1-0 win against Bolivia and a one-all draw against Argentina last week. La Roja's forward Eduardo Vargas scored from the spot against Argentina to secure one point, and new-boy Ben Brereton scored the game-winner against Bolivia in his first-ever start for Chile.

Despite a good start to their Copa America run, the Chileans have been under criticism for breaking COVID-19 protocols. According to the Associated Press, the Chilean soccer federation issued a statement on Sunday saying that a barber entered Chile's bubble and made contact with two players. Moreover, Chilean media outlets reported that midfielder Arturo Vidal and defender Gary Medel were the two players in question. As a result, Chile was fined a mere $15,000 for the violation.

The two South American sides will clash at Arena Pantanal in Cuiaba, Brazil, on Monday, June 21, at 5 p.m. ET.

Uruguay vs Chile: Players to watch

Chile – Ben Brereton Diaz

Blackburn Rovers striker Ben Brereton scored his first international goal against Bolivia last Friday. Brereton, born in Stoke, England, represented England at the youth level before switching loyalty to Chile, where his mother and grandfather are from. The 22-year-old scored in his first start for Chile after failing to score in his first appearance as a substitute against Argentina last Monday. You will not miss Brereton, whose jersey name reads "Brereton Diaz," when Chile steps on the pitch at Arena Pantanal to face Uruguay on Monday.

Uruguay – Luis Suarez

Striker Luis Suarez is coming off a vengeful La Liga winning season with Atletico Madrid after being released from Barcelona as a free agent. The 34-year-old finished fourth in scoring, with 21 goals behind Real Madrid's Karim Benzema, Villareal's Gerard Moreno and Barcelona's Lionel Messi. Uruguay's top scorer will look for his 63rd international goal wearing Sky Blue.
