Group F in the UEFA Euro 2020 was labeled as the Group of Death due to the involvement of France, Germany, and Portugal, and the game between the last two teams in that list proved why. The Portuguese side were shocked by Germany, who also "helped" the current title defenders to hit a couple of not so flattering milestones.
A Selecao kicked off with a bang thanks to a goal by Cristiano Ronaldo, but that lead would be canceled by some sloppy defensive moves by Rubén Días and Raphael Guerreiro, who scored own goals for Germany before the end of the first half. Those goals for the Germans ended up making history in all major tournaments involving European teams.
2 - Portugal are the first European nation ever to concede two own goals in a single match at a major tournament (World Cup or Euros). Sabotage. #POR #EURO2020 pic.twitter.com/XjzHSXwTEz

To make matters worse, the goals by Kai Havertz and Robin Gosens in the second half gave Germany a commanding lead, while also adding to Portugal's list of woeful records.
4 - Portugal are the first reigning champions in European Championship history to concede four goals in a single match in the competition. Shocked. #EURO2020 https://t.co/juHGYby6yi

If that was not enough reason for Fernando Santos' men to be embarrassed, this game marked the fifth game in a row in which Germany has defeated them. Want to hear the worst part? The Selecao has conceded eight times in their last two meetings.
Germany record their fifth consecutive win against Portugal in all competitions since 2006.
